Bosma Research International is located
in Seattle, Washington. As a major communication
and airline hub, our location has not only
centralized national and international projects
in the past, but also enhanced the cost effectiveness
of travel and communication expenses for many
of our projects.
Data Processing and
Analysis
BRI has a secure, state-of-the-art central
computing system linking all of our facilities
and associates together into a single system.
Our computer center operates 24 hours a day
and currently houses a variety of computers
and peripherals which enable us to respond
easily to the data processing and communications
requirements of a variety of projects.
All facets of data processing are handled in-house
on our own computer systems. Data processing
specialists, experienced in both micro and
mainframe computers, are dedicated to ensuring
the integrity and quality of data throughout
the project. BRI's facilities are fully equipped
for high speed Internet communications and
secure data transfers.
With a variety of powerful statistical and
banner-reporting software as well as custom
programming, statistical tabulations and reports
can be provided in hard copy printouts, on
disk or magnetic tape, on CD Rom, or from
a remote computer through an optional on-line
system. Our desktop publishing capabilities
provide each project with high quality professional
reports and presentation materials.
Throughout our history, we have managed and
analyzed customer satisfaction databases in-house
for a number of organizations. Many of these
quantitative databases have utilized sophisticated
weighting ratios and advanced statistical
analyses. Our qualitative database software
is equally powerful and flexible. In the past,
we have organized and managed phone survey
projects with thousands of respondents.
Online Research Systems
Web-Surveys.Net is the online research and
web services bureau of Bosma Research International, dedicated to helping clients
develop, administer, and manage online data
collection strategies to achieve their informational
needs. WSN offers a comprehensive range of
online research services:
- web surveys
- online reporting systems
Many of the web-survey/IT types of technology
vendors available in the current marketplace
have been created in response to the general
growth of the online research market and the
increase in amount of web-based research being
conducted. Unfortunately, while many companies
may be technologically capable of designing
and deploying a web-based survey, much of
the research conducted by these firms often
fails to take into account the overriding
importance of conducting research within the
context of the organization’s original information
needs.

Focus Groups
Our focus group facilities
are located in Seattle, Washington. These facilities offer a
choice of conference rooms to accommodate
focus groups as well as one-on-one interviewing.
They include integrated audio, video, viewing,
and translation equipment so that clients
may listen to groups in their own language.
Our facilities are supplemented by a worldwide
network of moderators and facilities to accommodate
client needs on a global level.
BRI staff are adept at helping clients define
target audiences and we can help you develop
audience profiles and accompanying screening
questions and procedures to yield the right
mix of participants. Working with our network
of contacts as well as through traditional
methods (e.g., random digit dial telephone
calls), we recruit participants to meet specific
client needs.
Our professionally trained, in-house moderators
and network of independent moderators have
worked closely with us in the past. This pool
of moderators allows us to match moderator
characteristics with specific focus group
requirements. In addition, our moderators
are often involved with developing/reviewing
the recruitment and selection criteria, the
discussion guides, and reporting formats.
Online Focus Groups
Online focus group technologies represent a
new industry standard, providing a series
of advanced features that dramatically exceed
the more traditional chat-based technologies
used for many online focus groups. Online
focus groups can produce meaningful responses
without the demands of more traditional qualitative
research. Travel is eliminated for moderators
and clients, lowering costs. In addition,
other organizational stakeholders can observe
discussions from the comfort of their desks
or homes.
With online focus groups, geographically dispersed
participants are simultaneously researched
in a dynamic, "virtual room" environment.
Participants contribute to a "pooled"
conversation, responding to questions submitted
by a moderator. An online setting also provides
the opportunity for respondents to offer more
direct and reflective feedback without the
embarrassment that can result from sitting
with strangers in a physical location.
International Research
BRI has conducted a extensive amount of national
and international surveys projects which have
involved the joint cooperation of groups worldwide,
e.g., coordinating airline passenger survey
distribution procedures simultaneously at
airports throughout the world; conducting
a phone survey in a dozen countries and languages;
or working with a project consultant from
the United Kingdom as a part of project conducted
in the United States. Some of these projects
have involved the distribution of data and
communications system wide and others have
involved working with specialists for a given
project. All of our projects are centrally
monitored and managed to ensure even workloads
and quality control.
